What is it? What drives us?

What makes us or some of us want to put our thoughts out there for others to read and consider?

Is it ego? Is a lot of of an ego? Is it desire to make a change? Is it simply personal and a place to be reminded of what you once thought? And by being public there is an accountability to it?

As I look back over my journal, my entries are quite hard  to read as they frequently force me to remember challenging or difficult times.

But what is the difference between one’s personal journal and one’s public blog.

Maybe part of it is simply to initiate the chance to communicate, to share ideas, to cause different thoughts in different possibilities.

Just the other day when we were talking in the kitchen, we had a conversation about how through our different experiences growing up and doing life we filled in missing pieces of our kids' events or stories with stuff that matched our own.

And then each of us held fast to those thoughts of who was "right" and who was “wrong.“

Getting thoughts out there for discussion - maybe (simply) that is it.
